Below are a number of videos that explain the Carnivore Diet, the reasoning behind it and some of the criticisms against it. Also, at the very end of this article is a non-comprehensive list of illnesses, diseases and conditions that have been helped (and often cured) by the Carnivore Diet.
The Carnivore Diet is sometimes called a Zero Carb Diet, because in essence it is removing all carbohydrates (sugar, fruit, vegetables, grains, etc.) from the diet. Carbohydrates are not required in the human diet to sustain life - the body can make all the carbohydrate it needs, when it needs it.
Note that the Keto Flu (headaches, muscle cramping, dry eyes etc.) may develop after a few days of eating only meat and is most likely caused by a lack of salt.
People taking pharmaceutical drugs should consult a health professional to help manage the dosage. For example, blood pressure medication or insulin medication will very likely need to be reduced (or even stopped) as someone progresses with the Carnivore Diet - even after just a few days - as the body’s insulin and blood sugar levels normalize and stabilize.

Epilepsy
The original Ketogenic Therapy was designed in 1923 by Dr. Russell Wilder at the Mayo Clinic for the treatment of epilepsy.
In 1993, 11 month old Charlie Abrahams developed difficult to control epilepsy. While Charlie was experiencing multiple daily seizures and multiple daily medications, his parents turned to a Ketogenic Diet for help. The diet worked. Charlie became seizure and drug free within a month. He was on the diet for five years and now eats whatever he wants. He has never had another seizure.
The term ketosis refers to a byproduct of the breakdown of fat into useable energy, called ketones. This fat can be derived directly from the food we eat, known as nutritional ketosis, or from stored body fat. Ketones are alternative energy sources for both the brain and body. Hundreds of studies have been published showing therapeutic benefits of the Ketogenic Diet for a variety of diseases. Originally studied for its effects on epilepsy, the diet is now showing promise for a multitude of illnesses that have an underlying metabolic element.
